Why Lifetyme?

By now you have probably seen some varying options of companies who install permanent exterior coatings so you never have to paint again. Allow us to tell you why we at Lifetyme Exteriors think we are your best choice!

Reason #1: Our Product is Designed for New England Weather. Unlike our competitors' ceramic coatings, Lifetyme Exteriors Smart Color is an acrylic product specially formulated for the harsh New England weather experienced by YOUR HOME. It is manufactured by the largest paint and coatings manufacturer in North America.

Reason #2: Our Legacy of Success. Lifetyme Exteriors is the original lifetime warranty coating company in New England. We've been doing it longer than anyone else, and we have thousands of satisfied customers to prove it.

Reason #3: We are a National Company with Local Roots. Unlike our competitors who may be a franchise of a largely southern-based company, or a provincial mom and pop shop with an over-the-counter product, Lifetyme Exteriors gives you the benefits of a large company with the service and compassion of a local business. Our owners are recognized as authorities in the home improvement field as published authors, national speakers, consultants to Fortune 500 companies and selected to represent the Society of Industry Experts.

Our Product is Made for YOUR NEW ENGLAND HOME

  • Our Lifetyme Exteriors Smart Color is manufactured by the largest paint and coating manufacturer in North America, and it is designed specifically for the harsh New England weather conditions experienced by YOUR HOME.
  • Lifetyme Exteriors Smart Color system is an acrylic based exterior coating system that was developed for use in New England and colder climates. We do not add any ceramic particles to our specially developed coating that simply aren't applicable in such an environment as ours in New England.
  • We have perm rating data (testing breathability) from our manufacturer (the largest paint and coatings manufacturer in North America) who private-labels our material specifically for Lifetyme Exteriors. Each batch of our material is tested at the largest testing facility in North America before putting the Lifetyme Exteriors name on the can. No additives are placed in the bucket before these materials are sent to us here in Boston.
  • Be aware of other products used by our competitors that are 'enhanced' by adding ceramic particles to them. First of all, adding anything to a previously manufactured coating is not the industry standard. But, for the sake of argument it can be discussed. One of the primary benefits boasted by these ceramic coatings is a great deal of resistance to the transmission of heat. That makes sense given the fact that ceramic-based products were originally manufactured to be used in places where extreme heat is the norm...such as Southern Florida, Southern California, etc. In such places, the sun beats down at well over 100 degrees for much of the year, and reflecting or at least minimizing the conduction of such heat in these environments is extremely helpful in lowering air conditioning bills.
  • This is why various ceramic exterior coating companies have come and gone in such environments - due to the marketability of this benefit in such climates. However, let us consider how this lack of heat conduction really affects the average home in New England. While other companies may have testing data, which all seems very fancy and impressive to customers when it has names like BASF on it - why do we care about heat reflection/lack of conduction in New England when it is below freezing for much of the year and hardly ever above 85 degrees (maybe 5-10 days out of the entire year)?
  • Sure, it would be great to have tires on my car that had been tested to run PERFECT all year on smooth, hot Southern California asphalt and stick to such roadways with the greatest of ease. But, do I necessarily want those tires when I'm driving up to Vermont on a ski trip? The answer is clear, you want a product that is applicable to your environment, and that is what we have at Lifetyme Exteriors - your New England permanent coating system.

Longevity - Lifetyme's Legacy of Success

  • Lifetyme Exteriors was the first permanent coatings company in the New England market when we began installing our Smart Color product in early 2004. We are the original New England exterior coating company with more completed jobs and more satisfied customers than the rest
  • Choose Lifetyme Exteriors for your exterior coating needs as so many other homeowners, business owners, church parishioners and condominium dwellers have before you.

A National Company With Local Roots

  • Lifetyme Exteriors is a Massachusetts company based right here in the Commonwealth, while our major competitor is a nationally franchised company (with the vast majority of the franchises located in warm-weather climates, at that). Most customers like the idea of Lifetyme Exteriors being based in Boston - and although our Smart Color product is distributed to a great number of home improvement companies nation-wide, its roots really are located here in Boston.
  • Our Lifetyme Smart Color product is installed in 26 states throughout the country via a number of large firms along the lines of K-Designers, Hoosier Permanent Coatings and Community Builders - some of the largest and most reputable home improvement companies in the nation. However, when it comes to exterior coating, all of these companies take their cues from the Boston office, which is run as a model dealership from the standpoint that these other companies can look to us for advice on how to sell, install and service our product and customers.
  • In short, Lifetyme Exteriors is a national company with distributors and offices located throughout the entire United States - with its home-court being located right in your back yard of New England. Talk about getting the best of both worlds, and there you have it.
